Fighting excess free radicals is a key strategy for the brain, since oxidative stress opens the door to damage to neurons and cognitive losses.

And the benefits of the greens do not stop there

Besides the famous spinach, kale, arugula, and broccoli provide folic acid, a vitamin that protects the gray matter and helps reduce the risk of dementia.

It also appears in several studies to work in favor of the DNA of brain cells.

It is never too late to include these ingredients in your routine. 

But those who have a history of healthy eating and exercise already have a savings for successful aging.

Vegetables are great in juices, salads, stir-fried and steamed. But don’t leave them on the heat too long. Excessive heat can reduce the content of cool compounds.
